In 2016, Waleed was injured in a bombing in Yemen. Following this accident, he was treated in different hospitals around the country. But even after months of treatment, his injuries were not healing. Earlier this year, MSF flew Waleed to its reconstructive surgery hospital in Amman, Jordan.
